  • 為什麼母牛是如此的重要



     The cow, the land, and knowledge are very important objects. These things should be given in charity. The result achieved by donating these three things is the same. These three objects can fulfill all the desires of human beings. The cow is accepted as the mother of all living entities. She gives happiness to everyone. ( Mahabharata, Dana dharma Parva)

母牛,土地,以及知識是非常重要的東西.人們應該來佈施這三樣東西. 而奉獻其中任何一項所得到的回報是相同的. 這三者能夠滿足人類所有的願望. 母牛被所有的生物接受為母親.牠給所有的生物帶來快樂.
 
One should not unnecessarily give trouble to or disturb cows. If one mistreats a cow and does not take care of her properly then by her anger that person becomes destroyed. The temple and many other places are smeared with cow dung for purification. A person who daily feeds a cow even a morsel of grass certainly attains the result of observing many vows. ( Mahabharata, Dana dharma Parva) 

人不應該沒有必要的去麻煩或騷擾母牛.人若虐待母牛或是沒有好好地照顧牠們,由此而引起了母牛的忿恨,那麼這個人就會失去他所有的幸運了.人們在廟宇和其他的許多地方塗上牛糞來淨化其空間.人即使每天只是以一把草來餵牛也是會得到和遵循許多誓言一樣的結果.

Activities News:

 

1)…2008- May- 10 (Saturday) 4:00 p.m. in Da-An-Gong-Yuan (Da-an-park) performing the Harinam Sankirtana, congregational chanting the name of Lord!

      Meeting point: entrance of the Da-An-park facing Jian-Guo-south-raod, in front of the Petro(gasoline)-station side on 4:00 p.m. after we will walk in to the park and start chanting and distributing the books of Krishna Conscousness.

 

2)…2008- May-19 (Monday) 7:00 p.m. on Ding-Zhou-road center ,

 Celebrating the Appearance of Lord Narashinhadeva

  Program with worshing prayers and glorifying the Lord, and bathing the Lord .
           

 

Welcome to take part of these glorious events with us!

1)---2008年5月10日 下午4:00,於台北市大安公園舉行(Harinam)齊頌聖名.我們將於建國南路面對加油站之東方出入口集合然後進入大安公園內唱頌聖名並派發書籍.

 
2)---
2008年5月19日星期一傍晚7:00, 在本會汀州路三段號樓舉行慶祝主尼辛哈(Appearance of Lord Narashinhadeva)的顯現,並且有沐浴神像的典禮.

曾經有一個國王,在做了一個栩栩如生的夢之後. 醒來後開始納悶地想著自己到底是一個國王在夢中變成蝴蝶,或者是一隻蝴蝶在夢境中變成了一個國王呢?

THE NIGHT DREAM AND THE DAY DREAM     夜夢 及 白日夢

Once a king summoned his ministers in the early morning hours and asked them, "Last night, I had a very vivid dream. I was a butterfly, going from flower to flower, drinking honey. My dream was so clear and real that I have a grave doubt: Am I a king who was dreaming that he was a butterfly or am I a butterfly now dreaming that I am a king?"

有一回國王在早晨時召集了他的臣子們並且對他們說: 昨晚,我做了一個很清晰的夢,我見到自己是一隻蝴蝶, 在花叢中飛揚穿梭,吸取著花蜜,夢裡的一切是那麼清晰使我不得不懷疑.我自己到底是一個國王在夢中變成了一隻蝴蝶,或者我是一隻蝴蝶而夢著自己是個國王呢?

The commonplace phenomenon of dreams constitutes one of the greatest human mysteries. What is a dream? Is it real? If it is not, then why does a nightmare have real effects on the body like sweating and panting, something which happens only when we "really" run in fear? Could it then be that our waking life is also a dream?

夢是人類最大的謎題之一.夢昰什麼? 夢是真的嗎? 如果不是,為什麼噩夢能在我們身上能造成影響: 例如冒冷汗,尿褲子等等那些只有當我們在真正經歷恐懼時才有的生理現象?是不是當我們清醒時的生活也是一場夢?

If we look back at a past experience from a dream we had and compare it to one from our waking life, is there any substantial difference? Both are gone and done and we can do nothing about them now except remember them. We call what we experience when asleep a dream because it ends when we wake up. Can it that what we call death will be like waking up from the dream of what we are experiencing when "awake" now?

如果我們拿以前做夢的經驗和清醒時的情形做比較,這兩者有什麼實質的差別嗎? 兩者都已經發生了而且無法改變,我們所能做的就只是記憶.我們睡著時的經歷稱之為夢,當我們醒來時夢就結束了.是不是我們所説的死亡就像是從夢裏 -- 我們現在正經歷的"清醒"--中醒過來?

Thinking deeper about dreams, helps us in understanding our identity to be different from our body. When we dream, our bodies lie on the bed, experiencing nothing physically. Yet we experience being chased by a tiger or sporting with a princess. This means that I - the experiencer of the emotions - am not the body, since the (gross) body is not actually involved in the experience.

對夢的深入思考幫助我們了解我們的身分是有異於這個身體的,我們做夢時,身體躺在床上,沒有感到任何肢體動作, 但是我們卻經驗著如被老虎追趕或是和一位公主享受在一起的經歷.這說明了--我,情緒的經歷者,不是這個身體,因為這個身體並沒有參與這個經驗

Vedic scriptures explain that our consciousness shuttles between four states - jagruti (normal wakefulness), svapna (dream), sushupti (deep dreamless sleep) and samadhi (divine wakefulness). Our actual identity as souls, beloved children of God, is experienced in samadhi. Presently, though physically awake we are spiritually asleep.

吠陀( 韋達)經典解釋著我們的意識知覺在四個階段裡穿梭--普通的清醒-jagruti,夢--svapna,深沉無夢睡眠--sushupti, 以及真正靈性的甦醒--samadhi .在靈性意識甦醒時,我們知道實際上我們是靈魂,是神親愛的孩子.但是現在我們雖然肉體上是清醒的,但靈性意識上卻昰沉睡的.

Therefore, the answer to the king's question is that he is a spiritual child of God, dreaming himself to be a king (jagruti). And within that dream, he ishaving a second dream of being a butterfly (svapna)

因此,對於國王問題的解答是: 他是神的一個靈性孩子,夢見自己是個國王,然後在自己認為是個國王的那個夢裡又夢見自己是一隻蝴蝶.

A sleeping person cannot even perceive the existence of the shining sun, though the sun is sustaining his very life. Similarly due to our spiritual slumber, we cannot perceive the presence and love of God,  hough He is sustaining our very existence by providing heat, light, air, water and food. But just as a sleeping person can be awakened by sound, we can wake from our spiritual slumber through spiritual sound - the holy name of God. Therefore let us chant and wake up to our rightful joyful life of immortal love.

一個沉睡中人無法感知到照耀中的太陽的存在,雖然太陽供養了他真實的生命; 同樣的,由於在我們靈性上的沉睡,受到神的幻覺能量所遮蔽,使我們無法感知到神和祂的愛的存在, 祂雖然供給我們光, 熱,水和食物等等讓我們維持生存.就像一個沉睡中的人可以被聲音所喚醒一樣,我們也可以經由靈性的聲振,神的聖名--從聆聽神的聖名來喚醒沉睡中的我們一樣. 因此讓我們可來唱誦並且喚醒我們原本不朽的 喜樂生命.

first-class man     一個理想的有修養的人
From the teachings of His Divine Grace Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada:
聖巴克提維丹達. 史瓦米. 帕布帕德 的教導

Who is trying to control his mind, control his senses? This is the first condition to become a first-class man. As soon as a man sees a beautiful woman, immediately his mind is agitated. Where is the control? And as soon as the mind is agitated, the senses are agitated. And this is the first condition of the first-class man, that he should not be agitated in his mind, and agitated by senses. This is the first condition. So where is that school who is training to, how to control the mind, how to control the senses, how to become truthful, how to become cleansed, internally, externally? These are the signs of first-class men.
 
人類中有誰在試著控制他自己的心意? 或是試著控制他自己的感官? 人若能控制自己的感官和心意是成為一個理想人類的首要條件. 當一個男人看到漂亮的女人時,他的心意就開始波動,自然他的感官也隨之起伏. 一個理想的有修養的人是不會被這些衝動所支配的. 有什麼地方在教導人們如何來控制感官以及控制心意,又如何變得誠實,並且如何來洗滌淨化我們的內在與外在,使我們成為理想的人類呢?

 Everyone has always been making and continues to make, big plans to adjust the miseries of the material world. Although elaborate political, social and cultural plans are being made, the material world has been described in the Bhagavad-gita as temporay and miserable. It are fools who are trying to turn the world into a place of happiness. They are ignorant of how everything acts by the arrangement of material nature. Although all materialists are baffled in their plans, they try to again and again become happy in this material world. Therefore they have been described as not only foolish but extremely unhappy also. 

每個人都一直馬不停蹄的在訂著各種計畫以適應這物質世界的悲苦. 但即使有了各種政治,社會以及文化等等精密策劃的計劃,這物質世界就像博伽梵歌所說的那樣短暫而悲慘. 傻子們試圖把這個世界變成快樂的天堂,但卻不知道萬物是按照物質自然的規則運轉. 即使物質主意者被自己的計畫搞的昏頭轉向,他們還是一再又一再地不停的用各種方法試圖使自己快樂.因此他們被認為是不僅愚蠢而且是極不快樂的.

The devotee is simultaneously happy and unhappy. He feels happiness and transcendental bliss because of his being Krishna conscious, yet he feels great unhappiness for the fools and rascals who make elaborate plans to be happy in this material world. He is interested in enlightening people in Krishna consciousness because that is the only way for them to become happy.  He thinks "I know that without Krishna consciousness, without taking shelter of the Lord's lotus feet, one cannot be happy." 

奉獻者是同時感到快樂與不快樂的人.因為具有奎施那意識,他感到由衷的快樂與超然喜樂; 但他又為那些傻子和無賴們感到不悅.因為他們總是處心積慮地計畫著如何能在物質世界裡快樂 .奉獻者以啟發人們的奎施那意識而感到快樂,因為他知道那是唯一通往快樂的方法. 他知道人如果沒有奎施那意識,不在神的蓮花足下尋求庇護是不可能快樂的.

One wanders within the universe, life after life, but by the grace of a devotee, a servant of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, one can get the clue to Krsna consciousness and then not only become happy in this world but also return home, back to Godhead. That is the real target in life. The members of the Krsna consciousness  movement are not interested in so-called meditation in the Himalayas or the forest, where one will only make a show of meditation, nor are they interested in opening many schools for yoga and meditation in the cities. Rather, every member of the Krsna consciousness movement is interested in going door to door to try to convince people about the teachings of  Bhagavad-gita As It Is and the teachings of Lord Chaitanya. That is the purpose of the Hare Krishna Movement.

我們在這浩罕的宇宙中一世又一世的徘徊流連,但是由於奉獻者,一個主柴坦尼亞Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu的僕人的 仁慈,我們才能夠瞭解奎施那意識,不僅使我們變得快樂,而且也能夠回家,回歸到首神的居所.這才是人生真正的目標. 奎施那意識運動的成員們沒有興趣到希馬拉雅山或到森林裡去冥想打坐, 那兒人們只是在展示他的冥想罷了,並且奉獻者也不想去開很多瑜珈學校. 他們有興趣的是逐門逐戶地去傳道,使人們了解博伽梵歌 的真意和主柴坦尼亞 的教導.
